Clapham and Patching Churches

For the past 7 years Gail Smith has done a wonderful job as Churchwarden of Clapham Church; we thank her for her hard work and dedication.  As from 13th September, the new Churchwardens are:

  • Sian Fletcher - 07957 719290

  • Maggie Somerset - 07483 239208

The Churchwarden for Patching is still Kath Hutchinson - 01903 871147.

Both churches are used regularly for Christian Worship and many members of our community also help maintain these beautiful, historic buildings, either by providing flowers, cleaning or churchyard maintenance.  If you would like to be involved helping at either Clapham or Patching church in any capacity, please get in touch.  There is a monthly flower rota and regular cleaning mornings - many hands make light work!
At present Clapham Church is open for visitors and for quiet thoughts and prayer Thurs - Sun, 10am - 4pm.  Patching Church is open daily 10am - 5pm.  Please sanitise your hands and complete the track and trace register when you enter.  Please also remember that the private car park at Clapham is for church use only.

The Junction is here to help

The shop and cafe is not currently open.  However, should you find you need to isolate yourself or know of somebody doing so in Clapham or Patching, Yvette and John and team, in cooperation with the Parish Council, would like to offer a service to our villages.

Obviously they do not carry a large stock at the moment, so please contact them for essential items via the village WhatsApp (email Yvette or John and ask them to send you the link).   Failing that, you can email or phone them 07803 074424 or 07753 662418.   They will try to source any products you need.

They will order your goods and have them available for collection, or delivery should it be absolutely necessary, on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
(Please be aware that some items can be difficult to obtain due to panic buying.)
